MELBOURNE’S Crown Palladium hosted the 2026 Brownlow Medal count on Monday night, and Nick Daicos left with the night’s main award. The Collingwood star polled a record 47 votes, the highest tally under the medal’s modern 3-2-1 voting system, finishing well clear of Bailey Smith and Marcus Bontempelli.
For the players who didn’t take home the medal, the night still offered a chance to be judged on something other than disposal counts. AFL’s best-dressed men used the occasion to move past the sport’s old reputation for hired suits and safe navy. Tailoring got sharper, colour got braver, and a handful of players proved they can dress for a red carpet as capably as they play on grass. Here are the standouts from Brownlow night 2026.
