FULL MOON PARTIES in Thailand are never low-key affairs, as the guests of The White Lotus are beginning to understand – especially those who have left the resort for an evening of drink and drug-fuelled partying.

As episode five rolls around, our gal pals, Kate, Laurie and Jaclyn, find themselves on a wild night out with Valentin and his two Russian pals, Vlad and the snake-tattooed Aleksei.

There’s vodka shots (of course), toasts to Shia LaBeouf (a lost-in-translation Russian “cheers”) and all manner of flirtatious bumping and grinding on the dance floor. In fact, the evening’s all going swimmingly – maybe even the Russians aren’t out to rob the ladies, as predicted?

However, three very angry Russian women suddenly approach the gang as they sit down at the edge of the club, and the Margot Robbie-alike, in particular, starts tearing strips off Aleksei in Russian.

So what’s she saying? The Russian speakers over on Reddit think they can just about break it down, as they shout over each other and the loud music.

The blonde says: “So this is why you’re not [answering my calls]?”

Aleksei: “No, I, uh, I just wasn’t looking, uh, I didn’t see it”

Blonde: “So many times I’ve believed you, and now you’re with some whores. Five hours I’ve been calling your phone!”

Aleksei: “Yeah, right, five hours”

Blonde: “. . . and you’re hiding where? In MY old club . . . wherever you decide to hide”

Aleksei: “Shut up! I said shut the f*** up!”

Blonde: “Idiot!”

Aleksei: “Shut your mouth!”

Carrie Coon told USA Today that she, Leslie Bibb and Michelle Monaghan were equally in the dark about the fight going down when they were filming: “The extras were mostly Russian. And when they called ‘cut’ on that scene, all the extras cheered. I didn’t know what she was saying, but they all thought it was a hoot. Nobody cheered for any of us in that club, and we worked there all night long”.
