Charles Leclerc races into new role as L’Oréal Paris ambassador
The Ferrari driver just couldn't stay away from his former teammate, Carlos Sainz, joining him as a global brand ambassador for L’Oréal Paris

F1 BROMANCES NEVER LAST, but as we’re learning, they can live on away from the track.
Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz became a fan favourite duo during their four years as teammates at Scuderia Ferrari, but hearts were broken when Sainz was replaced by Lewis Hamilton. If you haven’t shed a tear while watching that interview of Sainz saying “I understand it was never going to be Charles [who would be replaced by Hamilton]”, you’re either lying or made of steel.
Now, however, the pair have been reunited, with Leclerc joining Sainz as a global brand ambassador for L’Oréal Paris. It’s a fitting appointment because, like Sainz, the 28-year-old has great skin and hair, making him an ideal ambassador for L’Oréal Paris’ Men Expert and hair care ranges.
Leclerc also has a personal connection to L’Oréal Paris. “I will always associate L’Oréal Paris with my mother. She is a hairdresser, so I grew up seeing L’Oréal Paris products all around the house and watching the adverts on TV,” he says. “I am so grateful to have such strong women in my life and am incredibly proud to be joining a brand that stands for female empowerment. I truly believe that men’s strength comes through support and partnership of this mission.”

Of course, L’Oréal Paris does ask more of its ambassadors than simply having great skin and hair. In Leclerc’s case, his understated confidence and passion for pushing himself to be the best aligns nicely with L’Oréal Paris’ core values.
When we spoke to him last year, Sainz had something similar to say about the brand. “I was looking to partner with a brand that aligns with my values and the values that we pursue in Formula One, like a pioneering spirit, cutting-edge technology and always an innovative approach,” he said.
Leclerc’s ambassadorship with L’Oréal Paris comes at a time when the F1 championship is wide open. With last year’s champions, McLaren, off the mark and Max Verstappen’s Red Bull sitting further back in the pack, it seems likely that we’ll have a first-time champion again this season. Leclerc, currently sitting third in the standings behind George Russell and Andrea Kimi Antonelli’s pair of Mercedes, is well-positioned to push for the title.
It’s a stressful position to be in. Luckily for Leclerc he’s got L’Oréal Paris to keep his hair from turning grey and skin from wrinkling. Lucky guy.
