PRECISION, EXCELLENCE AND A HEFTY DOSE OF STYLE: these are qualities prized in both golf and horology. Which is perhaps why it’s so fitting that Geneva-based watchmakers Rolex have established a time-honoured relationship with the sport, not least as Tournament Partner to the Masters Tournament. Taking place between 9-12 April 2026 at Augusta National Golf Club in Georgia, USA, this year’s championship marks its 90th edition.
The association between Rolex and the sport is one of long-standing. It was nearly 60 years ago in 1967 that the watchmakers first engaged with the sport, naming Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus and Gary Player as their first golf Testimonees. Key to the development of the game throughout the 1950s and 60s, Palmer, Nicklaus and Player were dubbed “The Big Three” for their transformative contributions to the sport.

Alongside the Masters, Rolex supports a number of global golf events, including the PGA Championship, the U.S. Open, The Open and the Amundi Evian Championship as well as team competitions like the Presidents Cup, the Ryder Cup and the Solheim Cup.
In 2013, Australian professional golfer Adam Scott made history by becoming the first Australian to win the Masters. He has been a Rolex Testimonee since 2001. “I have been fortunate enough to be part of the Rolex family for 25 years now,” reflects Scott. “I have obviously come to know a lot about the company and what they do for the game of golf, along with many other areas, but to think that they had the foresight to partner with a young kid from Australia at the age of 21 is quite incredible.”
Over the past six decades, Rolex has backed many a champion at the Masters, with Testimonees to have donned the Green Jacket including Nicklaus, Scott, Tiger Woods, Hideki Matsuyama, Scottie Scheffler and Jon Rahm. Says Scott: “Rolex not only support the game as a whole but also a group of great champions out there, supporting them to succeed.”
