FASHION BRANDS are lining up to work with tennis players right. While some collabs and capsules might raise a curious eyebrow, the latest partnership between lululemon and player Frances Tiafoe feels like a perfectly natural fit.

The new Lululemon x Tiafoe collection was revealed across the players social media ahead of the Asutralian Open, crafted with a bespoke design created in collaboration that honours his family’s heritage in Sierra Leone.

What makes this particular collab a worthy is that it’s actually a functional one, with the pieces to be one worn by Tiafoe throughout the tournament. Featuring a bold spray-paint motif, the design is intended to capture the energy and movement of a tennis ball striking the court at speed. Its blue, green and white palette takes direct inspiration from the Sierra Leone flag, giving the performance kit a deeply personal layer of meaning.

“For me, representing Sierra Leone within the sport of tennis means so much,” Tiafoe said. “I’m proud to be able to show love to a country that sits deep in my heart and helped to shape who I am today.”

Developed as a source of motivation heading into the 2026 season, the kit reflects both Tiafoe’s journey and his outlook on the sport. “I’m reminded how blessed I am to have this opportunity to play tennis on a world stage,” he said. “This kit is meant to inspire not only me but also those who follow my journey to chase possibility. With passion and desire, you can achieve anything.”

lululemon worked closely with Tiafoe through product research, athlete feedback and on-court testing to ensure the final result balances performance with visual impact. The Spray Slam Blue Green Multi colourway will also be released globally in the lululemon Ventilated Sleeveless and Short-Sleeve Tennis Shirt, as well as the Ventilated Tennis Short 7″, available in select stores and online.
