SUMMER HAS, unfortunately, already reached its inevitable end. And as the temperatures are cooling and the days shortening, the idea of staying home for a Netflix binge is becoming more appealing. That’s not necessarily bad news, though, because the new content coming to Netflix in March is worth staying home for. First, War Machine starring Alan Ritchson will premiere, and it’s Netflix’s biggest action film of the year. Then there’s new seasons of One Piece and Heartbreak High. Rounding it out, Nuremberg will also make its streaming debut.

In any case, it’s a good time to have a Netflix subscription. The streaming service is packed with content, and this March will see yet another wave of new shows and movies heading to the platform. The new content is arriving in such quantities that choosing what to watch becomes its own challenge. That’s where we come in. The Dinosaurs

Netflix is finally cashing in on the huge untapped market that is dinosaur nerds (I can call them that because I am one) with The Dinosaurs, a four-part documentary series narrated by Morgan Freeman. The docuseries will run the gamut from the very first dinosaur (the marasuchus, which first hatched on Pangaea around 265 million years ago) all the way to the T-Rexs of the late-Cretaceous. What’s more, Steven Spielberg serves as the series’ executive producer – and that guy knows a thing or two about dinosaurs.

One Piece: Season 2

Netflix’s high-seas pirate adventure returns for a second season, promising fiercer adversaries and a handful of even more perilous quests. Luffy (Iñaki Godoy) and his crew of Straw Hats will set sail for the Grand Line, a treacherous stretch of sea that’s known to be a pirate’s graveyard. As the Straw Hats journey through this realm in search of yet more treasure, they’ll encounter bizarre islands and a host of formidable new enemies.

Heartbreak High: Season 3

The wait for the third and final season of Heartbreak High is almost over. Season three of the series will see the students at Hartley High approaching graduation. Hopes for an uneventful send off are dashed when a revenge prank goes wrong, leaving our core group to cover up their secret or risk serious trouble.

War Machine

Filmed primarily in Melbourne, War Machine stars Alan Ritchson as the most jacked soldier you’ve ever seen. Premiering on March 6th, the film follows Ritchson and an elite team of soldiers in the final stages of US Army Ranger selection. When their training is interrupted by a deadly, robot-alien threat, the group has to fight for their survival. Strong Predator vibes with this one, right down to the considerable size of the lead. Aussie actors Jai Courtney, Keiyna n Lonsdale and Daniel Webber also appear.

Nuremberg

Russell Crowe’s latest film, Nuremberg, will make its streaming debut on March 7th. Crowe plays Nazi war criminal Hermann Göring opposite Rami Malek as the US Army psychiatrist tasked with interrogating him. The pair form a troubling bond while the psychiatrist probes the nature of evil in this historical drama.
