FEW WATCHMAKERS attract more attention in the hallowed halls of Geneva’s Palexpo than Rolex. Indeed, every other watchmaker in Geneva is clamouring to out-do the crown with flashy new releases and innovations. This year is also an anniversary for Rolex, so expectations are even higher. 2026 marks 100 years since the debut of the Oyster case – the world’s first waterproof watch case. Hans Wilsdorf patented it back in 1926, and every dive watch or water resistant watch owes its existence to that innovation.

Rolex, unbothered by the heightened expectations and competition, has decided to let its watches do the talking with a handful of understated new updates. It’s not quite the fireworks of 2025, which saw the unveiling of an entirely new model in the Land-Dweller, but it’s a reminder that Rolex is still the watchmaker people are in Geneva to see.

Among Rolex’s new releases are updates to the Oyster Perpetual 41, 34 and 28. The Datejust 41 also gets a new ombre dial, while the Yacht-Master II has returned from the grave and there’s a new Daytona with a monochromatic dial, stripping back the contrast of the usual ‘Panda’ layout.

Read on to find all the details of Rolex’s new releases from Watches & Wonders 2026.

What new Rolexes were revealed at Watches and Wonders 2026?

Rolex Oyster Perpetual 41 in yellow Rolesor

The headliner of Rolex’s new releases is the birthday boy, the Oyster Perpetual 41. The new version is in yellow Rolesor, meaning it has an Oystersteel case and bracelet with a winding crown and 18-carat yellow gold bezel.

The gray dial is adorned with gold and green accents. ‘Rolex’ is green, and so is each hour marker. At 6 o’clock, where you’d normally find the words ‘Swiss Made’, you’ll now find the words ‘100 years’, in a nod to the anniversary.

Rolex Oyster Perpetual 34 and 28

The smaller Oyster Perpetual sizes are typically marketed at women, but some men of refinement do rock a 34. Both sizes have been updated as part of what Rolex is calling a “new golden age”. The 28mm version now has an 18-carat gold case, bezel, bracelet, hands and hour markers, with a forest green dial for a strong contrast. Considering that the Oyster Perpetual is an entry-level model by Rolex’s standards, putting it in 18-carat gold is a bit of a power move.

Other versions come in Everose gold with a deep blue dial. We prefer the green and yellow gold.

Rolex ‘Albino’ Daytona Cosmograph

Fans have been buzzing about an ‘albino’ Daytona for some time now and Rolex has delivered. What makes this Daytona an ‘albino’ is the lack of contrast on the dial. Usually, if we see a black bezel and white face, there’ll be some bold black subdials, hands or markers in the traditional ‘panda’ style. Rolex has eschewed that here, in favour of a cleaner aesthetic.

The biggest move, however, is not just the black and white contrast, but the alloy that makes that contrast. It’s an entirely new alloy that Rolex’s metallurgists have developed. They’re calling it ‘Rolesium’. It pairs a white enamelled dial with an anthracite Cerachrom bezel in ceramic, edged with a band of platinum.

Rolex Yacht-Master II

The Yacht-Master II is back from the dead. The model was eulogised in 2024, after 17 years in Rolex’s lineup. Now, in a surprise to most, it has returned, with a range of changes. Countdown is now is programmed via the lower pusher; countdown hands now turn counterclockwise; the dial is coated with a new white matte lacquer; and it comes equipped with a calibre 4162 self-winding mechanical movement. These updates should give it some wider appeal outside of the sailing crowd.

Rolex Datejust 41 with shadow dial

Every couple years Rolex updates the Datejust just enough to keep us interested. Drastic changes are rare, but that’s par for the course with Rolex. The newest datejust 41 features a shaded ombré dial, lacquered in green. The case is white Rolesor and the fluted bezel is crafted from precious metal.

Rolex Oyster Perpetual 36

This new Oyster Perpetual 36 features a multicoloured lacquer dial that’s decorated with the Jubilee motif that was originally introduced in the late ’70s. An explosion of colour, the letters of the word ‘Rolex’ are ingrained within the jubilee design.

Rolex Day-Date 40 in aventurine

Another new alloy, this Day-Date is crafted from 18-carat Jubilee Gold – more matte than yellow and warmer than white gold. The light green aventurine dial complements the gilded effect of the case with a gentle shine.
