THE FACT THAT THE OSCARS come immediately after fashion week is, it has to be said, the best marketing partnership the industry could have asked for. Seeing some of the most famous men and women in the world wearing clothing that just came down the runway? It’s the perfect fusion of cultures.
When it comes to the hierarchy of awards shows, the Academy Awards are, traditionally, the most formal. That doesn’t preclude the occasional outlier or fashion risk – we’ve already spotted leather overalls on the red carpet.
This year, best-dressed stakes are high with some of the most well-shod actors up for statues. Timothèe Chalamet, Michael B. Jordan and our very own Jacob Elordi are all nominated tonight and come with the added weight of all eyes on their suits of choice.
