THE BOYS DO SCRUB UP WELL. Seriously, either there’s something happening in Libra (the sign of the aesthete) or the team of stylists working behind the scenes are hitting every sartorial ball out of the park because the current red carpet looks at the 2026 BAFTA red carpet is one of the fashion books.

For starters, everyone is going to the same party. This may feel like an odd observation, but there have been quite a few moments recently when observing a dress code was ad hoc at best.

Not today. Not at the BAFTAs. The black-tie rule has been adhered to by everyone so far, with enough creative flair or attention to detail so even the most classic of tuxes looked fresh. Perfect example, Patrick Dempsey in a Brunello Cucinelli creation. The definition of dreamy. And Timothée Chalamet in Sarah Burton’s Givenchy? Give that man the award so we can get a better view.

Check out our selects for best-dressed at the 2026 BAFTAs.

Timothée Chalamet in Givenchy

Straight off the bat one of our favourites of the night. Sarah Burton is doing great things with the French house. Also, keep an eye on this cropped & chopped haircut that Tim is sporting. The mullet’s days are numbered.

Patrick Dempsey in Brunello Cucinelli

Dreamy.

Archie Madekwe in Dior

Jonathan Anderson’s Irish whimsy is finding its spiritual home at Dior, it seems. We lamented his loss for Loewe but this look on Lurker star Madekwe is all frills and fun.

Tilda Swinton in Chanel

As Matthieu Blazy continues to tease out a Chanel menswear in idea if not in actual collection, here’s Tilda Swinton in a Chanel tuxedo to keep us on the edge yet again.

Stormzy in Gucci

No notes.

Paul Mescal in Prada

Stylishly scarmigliato.

Riz Ahmed in Saint Laurent

Riz by name, rizz by nature.

David Jonsson in Hermès

We need more Hermès on the red carpet. This kind of understated yet immaculate styling is always a breath of fresh air.

Ethan Hawke in Giorgio Armani

The late Armani not only knew how to make an incredible suit but also how to add the right amount of detailing to take it from classic to cool.

Joe Alwyn in Valentino

If this had been worn with a bow-tie, it would have sat further on the formal spectrum. The tie instead adds a rock ‘n’ roll, Bryan Ferry of Roxy Music vibe.

Leonardo Di Caprio in Dior

Leo never strays from the most formal of tuxes and it never misses. This one by Dior is impeccable. As is the artfully hitched shirt cuff to reveal the Oscar-winning actor’s biggest style win of the night: a Rolex Oyster Perpetual Cosmograph Daytona.

Mils Caton in Louis Vuitton

One of the few departures from black-and-white and the right way to do so.
