The Want List: What caught the Esquire team's eye this week
The Esquire guide to a great weekend

WHAT TO DO, what to read, what to wear, what to burn some cash on. Every week the Esquire team round up the things that have caught our eye across the cities and online to keep you in great taste and style…
A daiquiri at Odd Culture’s latest venue, a little drama, a dive into an icon’s history and what could arguably the world’s best shirt

A daiquiri at Razz Room
Odd Culture Group have become one of Sydney’s most exciting hospo groups. Earlier this month, they opened up Razz Room, a daiquiri bar and discotheque on York Street in Sydney.
And if there is two things that Sydney need more of right now, it’s options for dancing and decent drinks. Razz Room looks to be answering our prayers.

These loafers by Etymology
Good footwear. Great style. We’ve been monitoring Australian brand Etymology for a while and their shoes are still some of the best on the market.
Hard to pick the best of a fantastic line, but the Yasiin might take the edge because who doesn’t love a tassel. Style in spades.

Tickets to see The Drama
We’ve become convinced that movies are being made in two ways – specifically to be streamed at home or to be experienced immersed in a cinema.
Zendaya and Robert Pattinson led The Drama is definitely the latter. The way it plays with awkwardness and social pain, it would be to easy to escape at home. Absolutely grab a box of support popcorn on the way in.

Luna Park by Helen Pitt
It’s one of the worst cliches but sometimes the truth really is stranger than fiction. And that’s what journalist and writer Helen Pitt uncovers as she traces the history and mythology of that famously macabre grin that marks Luna Park.
Con men, deaths, a Big Dipper and its survival in the face of (see what we did there?) local residents. Got it all.

This lamp by Aēsop
Skincare brand Aēsop has always been about design as much as it has been about keeping your face feeling hydrated. We shouldn’t be surprised that they are zoning in on that space even more, beyond their oil and incense burners.
The Aposē lamp was launched during Milan Design Week and is a collaboration with Rodney Eggleston of Melbourne’s March Studio. Made from sand-cast brass and mouth-blown glass, are we seeing the first step in a new phase of holistic skincare as an aesthetic? Either way, it looks sick and we want one.

This Tommy Hilfiger rugby shirt
The perfect weekend shirt when you need to dress quick, look good but not like you’re trying and be able to perhaps hit a surprise pint at the pub later.

A bottle of Angel’s Share On The Rocks from By Kilian
This came out late last year but we had the chance to smell it in person while attending the opening of the new Libertine Parfumerie in Melbourne. If you haven’t been, go.
Anyway – this takes that original praline and booze of Angel’s Share and adds a literal twist to the top with a huge splash of citrus, starting with grapefruit, mandarin and bitter orange. We rate it better than the OG.

This blazer from Gucci
It’s jacket season and we may have found the perfect one.
Single-breasted, neutral colourway elevated with a gingham pattern, inspired by Gucci’s archives but tailored into modern proportions. Jeans, trousers, dare we say the right shorts – this is the winner.

This suede tote from Yu Mei
A great bag that fit enough stuff without letting you overpack too much stuff? Grail.
One that also looks casually cool but still professional enough to take to work? Miracle.
We found it, dark brown suede by Yu Mei.

A shirt by Charvet
Not just a shirt.
THE shirt. IYKYK.
