The Want List: What caught the Esquire team's eye this week
The Esquire guide to a great weekend

WHAT TO DO, what to read, what to wear, what to burn some cash on. Every week the Esquire team round up the things that have caught our eye across the cities and online to keep you in great taste and style
A cuff, a cocktail, and a classic sneaker – here are our picks of the week, ready for the weekend.

This cuff by Agmes
Last month, New York City-based jeweller AGMES launched their first collection of men’s jewellery. Which was about time, if you ask me. There are a selection of rings, chains, tie pins and brooches to choose from but the pick of the bunch for us was this Astrid cuff in gold.

A 50/50 martini at Hands Down in Melbourne
Knowing where to suggest for a great martini is like possessing the keys to heaven.
Melbourne spot Hands Down has rightfully garnered a reputation for one of Melbourne’s best with their signature 50/50 martini. It has all the flavour profiles – salty, a little fruit, some savoury – and the vibes of the place are perfect, too. One hundred percent winner.

Rose Magnitude by Goldfield & Banks
Never let anyone tell you that a man cannot wear a rose perfume.
Launched this month, Rose Magnitude by Goldfield & Banks is as masculine a rose as you will find. Without leaning into the oud or heavy amber cliches. Venture beyond the freshy/woody binary and prove yourself a man of discerning taste.

Those Uniqlo C Barrel Pants
Uniqlo has always been a great place to shop for basic staples, but since Claire Waight Keller (ex Givenchy) took over the product has elevated into a new stratosphere.
Take the C Barrel Pants. The loose-fit, very slightly tapered at the ankle to keep the silhouette sharp and 100 percent cotton make immediately put these on our radar. This is a seasonal collection, too, so invest while you can

A bite to eat at Hotel Harry
After an extensive renovation, cult dining instituion Hotel Harry in Sydney’s Surry Hills has reopened.
Joel Bickford (Shellhouse, The International) has fired up the menu with some new tools: a Rotisol rotisserie, a wood-fired parilla grill and a Marana Forni pizza oven brought in from Italy.
Particularly keen to sink our teeth into the signature lobster rolls.

These new VEJA Jitsu suede sneakers
VEJA footwear have become a byword for a specific kind of clean, smart casual minimalism that has been adopted from offices to off-duty essentials.
The French brand has now dropped new versions of their Jitsu style, made low the ground and designed to follow the natural contours of the foot. Materials are primary recycled and sustainable, as is the VEJA way, like the nylon uppers or organic traced leathers.
But most importantly, look how cool they look.

These Gucci sunglasses
Demna’s takeover at Gucci has reverberated through fashion, with a revival of sex appeal and feeling good about looking good.
The new season eyewear is just as bold and slick as the Autumn 2026 runway collection. Their Havana lenses pack the perfect balance of sleek and sophisticated.
