At the 2025 BAFTAs, the best dressed men went classic
The biggest night in British film and TV has come and gone for another year. The best dressed men opted for demure suits – with an eccentric twist

LONDON IS THE cradle of the modern suit, so of course, when in town, you go classic. The BAFTAs overnight brings us one awards show closer to the big ticket Oscars in March. And the best dressed men on the red carpet adhered to black tie but with a twist.
Best Leading Actor frontrunner Timothée Chalamet (nominated for A Complete Unknown; he lost to Adrien Brody in The Brutalist) continued his streak of dressing for himself. It’s a rare thing to find a stylist that wholly understands their client; Taylor McNeill has been behind some of his headlining looks on A Complete Unknown‘s press tour. Showing up in a custom Bottega Veneta suit, the double-breasted jacket cropped at the waist, the styling remains youthful with that New Yorker edge on the 29-year-old actor. Another attendee who has always been dressing for themselves: Coleman Domingo in a black leather coat by Versace, silk-lined in the brand’s classic ornate designs. We’ll be watching what he pulls for the 2025 Met Gala, where he is also a co-chair.
On the tailoring purists front were Adrien Brody, Henry Golding, Will Poulter, and Leo Woodall. Jeremy Strong, nominated for Best Supporting Actor for his role as Roy Cohn in The Apprentice, dressed for the winter night in a thick velvet coat on top of his black tie suit (a much more demure look than his green Golden Globes affair). Rising Star BAFTA winner David Jonsson (who you’d know as Gus in Industry) had excellent layering game, wearing a crystal chainmail-like tank top under his jacket. And like a true peacock, Jeff Goldbloom was the only one in white tie, with an iridescent feather-printed vest to bring it home – the Wizard!
With only the SAG awards left in the major awards season line up, we’ll have to see if this conservative streak in menswear continues when the Oscars take place in Los Angeles in early March. Scroll on for the best dressed men of the 2025 BAFTAs.
